As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our data pipelines and streaming applications.


Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

  • You join our Data Engineering team and work alongside our data engineers as part of our Data & Analytics area, reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics
  • You design, develop and maintain our Kafka and Debezium infrastructure, including topics, connectors, and brokers
  • You develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure configuration and management
  • You develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and other deployment artifacts
  • You monitor and troubleshoot issues related to Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications
  • You develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) and collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent infrastructure management across the organization
  • Optional: You take part in our 24/7 on-call rotation

Your profile – this is what we expect from you

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on infrastructure topics 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • You have professional experience in software engineering using Python
  • You have experience in using at least three of the following technologies: 
    • Change data capture, ideally Debezium
    • Container Orchestration, ideally Kubernetes 
    • Public Cloud Providers, ideally Google Cloud Platform
    • Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
    • Message brokers, ideally Apache Kafka
    • Configuration management tools, ideally Ansible 
  • You have a strong interest in working in an agile, mostly remote environment
  • You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture and values and enjoy working in an international, English speaking team
