Marketplace Controlling

KEEPING AN EYE ON THE BIG PICTURE

Marketplace Controlling makes sure that we keep an overview of all our day-to-day marketplace activities and that we can make decisions based on data. The team takes care of monitoring several areas of the online marketplace. It collects and analyses data about topics like our sellers’ performance, our services and legal or compliance-related topics, and then organises these into reports and dashboards. The Marketplace Controlling team uses the results gained from these insights to support the other Marketplace Management teams in their decision-making processes. This work is crucial for us to further develop and optimise our marketplace business.

The goals pursued by Marketplace Controlling

By focusing on optimising processes on the online marketplace in order to offer efficient and seamless operation, the team aims to improve and simplify the daily work of the operative teams. It compiles relevant data which allows the other teams to make solid, goal-oriented decisions which promote our company’s success.  that promote our company’s success.

How the team communicates

The team places a lot of importance on keeping in touch regularly in order to collaborate on topics, discuss ideas and create new approaches that contribute to developing our team and our projects. To do so, the team uses the following methods of communication:

  • Bi-weekly meeting: These meetings give the team members a chance to discuss current topics and projects in progress.

  • Weekly one-on-one meetings with the team lead for each team member: In the weekly meetings the team members discuss current topics, identify challenges and work on solutions.

What makes working in the team so special

Here’s what your future colleagues say about their team:

At Kaufland e-commerce, we always make data-based decisions. That means our team plays a decisive role in developing processes and structures for Marketplace Management.

What makes it especially interesting is the huge range of topics that we get called in for, as well as how closely we work together with different teams. We’re always involved when input and data on marketplace business is needed. And we don’t just provide the data in the form of dashboards and reports to analyse valuable results. We are really able to shine because we use our experience and understanding of data to get the full potential out of every piece of information.

We’re a small team that regularly stays in touch with our team lead through our bi-daily and weekly meetings. Our wide range of strengths means we are always learning from each other and supporting each other.
