Direct Sales

As the Direct Sales team, we are responsible for all supplier relationships, engaging with both large international manufacturers and medium-sized companies, as well as startups, on an equal footing. Building partnerships is very important to us because it’s the only way we can achieve sustainable success together. Our discussions go beyond just purchasing goods; we focus on holistic solutionsstarting from collaboratively creating a marketing strategy, presenting products effectively on our international Kaufland online marketplaces, to optimizing logistics processes behind the scenes.

To make our online marketplaces even more attractive to our customers, we are also responsible for establishing new business relationships with manufacturers, which we identify through market analyses and meet at trade shows or in personal conversations. Our communication skills and negotiation powers greatly assist us in this endeavor. 

We work in a data-driven manner, making decisions based on numerous KPIs while keeping an eye on optimizing customer satisfaction and continuously improving our business metrics. A profitable revenue stream and happy customers are equally important to us. Ultimately, we serve as a central hub within the company, collaborating closely with colleagues in customer service, marketing, logistics, and IT. 

Given the high level of responsibility each team member has for a product group or project, along with the variety of topics we handle, no two days are alike. 

Teams within Direct Sales

This team is crucial for selecting and marketing top-quality products on our online marketplaces. It consists of two specialized areas: the Vendor Management team, which focuses on procurement and sales, and the Brand Relations team, which builds strategic partnerships with major brands. Through close collaboration and data-driven strategies, they aim to increase both revenue and customer satisfaction.
