Our vision is to build an ultra-fast, use case oriented and context sensitive product search. Your task is to help us achieve exactly this! We have already started and now need you in our team.

Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

• You work in a collaborative environment where you develop great products that bring a positive impact to our customer journey
• You will develop context-sensitive filters that help to find the perfect product! Our customer is looking for a spare part for their car? Then the compatibility is probably far more important than the colour. You recognise this and offer the right filters at the right moment
• You want to provide the most important information about the product at the first glimpse! To achieve this, the product preview dynamically adapts to the category. Certain criteria are more important for clothes than for TVs. You are aware of this and ensure that only the relevant information is shown.
• Our search must respond breathtakingly fast! With the right infrastructure, freedom in development and good predictions thanks to our data scientists, you can achieve exactly that. You will build a product search that nobody needs to wait for
• You have the chance to take responsibility and work autonomously - from discovery to implementation to deployment
• You write clean and maintainable code that is easy to test and that you can be proud of
• Together with your experienced team you work in a challenging environment and look for chances to improve existing workflows and processes
• You continuously share your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues in pair programming sessions, code reviews and retrospectives

Your profile – this is what we expect from you

• You have successfully built several PHP backends in mid to large scale software projects and are familiar with using several frameworks
• You are able to build solid architecture in event-driven systems and distributed systems
• You are confident in working with SQL databases
• You love solving problems and are a curious and quick learner, especially when it comes to new software applications and tools
• You are an experienced engineer used to solving engineering problems with the tools & frameworks that make sense both for the problem domain and the engineering organization. Our tech stack is predominantly PHP, with growing use of Node.js and Go
• You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a bit better every day
• You have passion for what you do and a great interest in e-commerce
• You promote an open and direct culture of communication. You work in a data-driven way, not an opinion-driven one. You test your work and provide customers with reliable products that meet their needs. You want to keep growing, just like us.
