Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

• As an Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d) in one of our Platform teams, your goal is to deliver the best possible developer experience and guarantee a reliable and performant production environment.

• You work closely with other Platform and Software Engineers to design & build a platform for our internal customers and maintain infrastructure.

• You will orchestrate and design clusters using technologies like RabbitMQ, MySQL, MongoDB and Redis.

• You evaluate and work with various services within cloud platforms.

• You develop and deploy cloud services via infrastructure-as-code and use GitOps practices where it makes sense.

• Specific tasks you could work on:

  • Speeding up creation of weekly development databases

  • Cooperating with another team to move over their RabbitMQ into the new shared network

  • Work together with the whole team to evaluate the use of mongodb kubernetes operators.

Your profile – this is what we expect from you

• Your background is Software/DevOps/Platform Engineer, Architect or similar

• You bring sound experience with at least two of the following tools and technologies

  • Monitoring and alerting (preferably Datadog)

  • IaC (preferably Terraform and/or Ansible)

  • Database clustering/high-availability with e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, Redis

  • CI/CD (preferably GitLab & Helm)

  • Cloud platforms (preferably GCP)

  • Containers and container orchestration (preferably Kubernetes & GKE)

• You are willing to participate in rotating on-call duties.

• You understand the concept of a modern platform and strive to solve the problems of your customers.

• You possess analytical and troubleshooting skills, relative fluency in coding and high traffic / high availability system architecture and a desire to tackle complex problems.

• You are a strong team player and enjoy collaborating with different people and profiles as well as share knowledge and strive for continuous development and learning.

• You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture & values and enjoy working in an international, english-speaking team.
