Your tasks – this is what awaits you in detail

• As a Search Engineer (m/f/d) your goal is to bring our search to the next level for our customers
• In our cross-functional teams, you regularly join forces with colleagues from other disciplines to build outstanding products, using agile methods
• We have high standards and ambition, work in modern processes and a modern environment
• Depending on your strengths you will work on at least one of the following:
  • building a better search, trying new approaches and optimizing precision and recall for our customers
  • maintaining, improving, troubleshooting, updating / upgrading our Elastic Clusters
• You take part in the product discovery phase to make sure we build the right things fitting to our architecture and find solutions which can be implemented easily
• With your well-founded experience and skills, you are committed to continuously improve your colleagues’ know-how, methodology and quality, and you lead by example

Your profile – this is what we expect from you

• You have an educational level that corresponds to completed university studies in (business) information technology, (business) engineering, mathematics or physics, or you have comparable practical experience
• You have a strong background in the required technologies and broad experience in search product development
• You are highly passionate about product search and Elastic and are willing to enhance your knowledge each and every day
• You can translate product into technology in a pragmatic way
• You have a very high capacity for abstraction, analytical thinking and your actions are always based on partnership
• You have the drive to continuously develop both yourself and your team further in order to become a little bit better every day
• Passion for what you do and a strong interest in current e-commerce trends and developments
• You have excellent communication skills, are willing to embrace our company culture and values and enjoy working in an international, english-speaking team
